Customer Testimonials

"Barronart’s stretcher bars have always been a part of my paintings.

I’m not sure how long I’ve been using them but they make the best stretcher bars. They are made well, they are strong, the joints are smooth, they can be taken apart and reassembled easily, the metal holding them together doesn’t rust, and they are reasonably priced. Over the years I have tried all sorts of hand-made stretcher bars made by all kinds of workers but Barronart’s are always the best. I have been using them in New York for twenty years and thank God they even ship to St. Louis."

"I've worked with Barronarts for two different projects.

The first one was one simple stretcher which turned out beautiful, it is sturdy and very light. And for the second job they did the 31 stretchers and stretched the canvases for 4 pieces that ranged between 30 to 49 feet in width by 8.5 feet high. The job of stretching the canvas was an extremely hard one as they need to line up perfectly my artwork which is very detail. In addition to that I was away installing another exhibition so I wasn't around to supervise. I arrived to the museum once the job was done and it was beautiful."

"I can't speak highly enough of Barronarts and Jeff Barron, the owner.

I needed to re-stretch a painting that my mother did when she was getting her MFA in the '70s- it's my prized possession. At the time, she couldn't afford proper stretchers because she was a poor student, so she made some herself and they ended up getting quite warped because they were not thick enough.

After a lot of research I decided on Barronarts- the prices seemed extremely reasonable and Jeff was great about answering all of my many questions. I'm not an artist myself so I don't know much about the process of re-stretching canvases, so it was very helpful how gracious and patient he was with me.

Because the prices were so reasonable I decided to get a floating frame. Let me tell you, I have not found a custom floating wooden frame even come close to the bargain I got here. The frame is beautiful even on its own. Jeff even had to patch up 5 holes in the canvas along the sides and that added a bit to the price, but it was still extremely reasonable. Delivery was less than half of what I was quoted at two other locations."

"We just got the crate unpacked.  The canvases are absolutely beautiful, way beyond my expectations!

The packing was perfect and the whole thing so impressed my husband, the driver,  and the two young men.  I just sent the gallery owner who requested these huge paintings, a glowing description of you and your company.  I can't wait for Bill to see the kind of work you do and and to hear about the extraordinary lengths you went to for me.  I am so grateful.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!
